Books that should have been TED Talks

Description:

Some books should be blog posts, some blog posts should be tweets, some tweets should remain thoughts.

What happens when you’re reading a book and you think, there’s just not a whole lot here? There’s a whole series of books out there that fit in this category, the ones that have a good idea, but not enough to warrant being an entire book:

  • There’s a big idea that you get entirely in the introduction, and the rest of the book is just restating that big idea.
  • There’s the book that was a sermon (just one), which isn’t enough to flesh out to 200+ pages.
  • There’s the book that started as a TED Talk, and probably should have stayed that way.

Listen in as we share a few of the best/worst of these books, and Barnabas reveals the depths of his love/obsession for Leif Enger, on today’s episode.
