They shocked the world by winning the white wine competition for their Chardonnay at the famous "Judgement of Paris" in 1976 and are largely responsible for the wild success of Chardonnay in the States. This summer, the famous Bo Barrett passed the Head Winemaking baton off to Matthew Crafton. The Wine Muse catches up with Matt to find out about his philosophy and see if the pressure of that great win--mythic in nature now--sets an unrealistic standard for him to follow.
He'll also give his opinion on the current state of perception and appreciation of Chardonnay in the world.
