Helga van Leipsig in her own words: "Shapes inspire." Every ‘La Leipsig’ is born from a fascination for shapes and materials. I find my inspiration there, it offers a way for me to tell my tale. Sometimes it’s as simple as a word, a flower, a stone that can spark the inspiration, that results into a new piece of jewelry. I take great pride in my craft(wo)manship, it enables me to convert ideas into distinct and wearable jewelry, jewels for the woman who knows exactly what she likes and what she wants to express. After completing my education at the Acadamy for Fine Arts in Maastricht I have been employed for several years as a graphic designer, this experience is still reflected in my design-style. I founded De Zilveren Akelei, my company that covers Jewelry and also Webdesign. It enabled me to return to my roots, designing and crafting Jewels. Small batches of individual Jewels that can only be obtained in my webshop, La Leipsig Jewels. I also design and produce ‘one-off’ jewels to individual personal specs expressing the taste and style of the receiver."
