Description: As the son of two teachers with a passion for learning, Stuart Elliott always knew that educating others would always be a fundamental part of his life. What he didn’t anticipate was that rather than teaching children in a classroom, he would end up teaching adults at one of the country's most innovative insurance, banking and superannuation brands. Finding that he just didn’t ‘fit’ as a full time worker who wanted flexibility and autonomy, Stuart was hired as a contractor after a 6 week contract in 2011. Now the Executive Manager of Workforce Strategy & Design, Stuart is using his passion for learning and discovery to help the organisation navigate the challenges ahead. This week, Stuart talked to us about the problems he sees with traditional organisational structures, the global shift in the workforce, his experience as a contingent worker and what Suncorp is doing to build the workforce of 2020. Stuart will be speaking at the upcoming Contingent Workforce Conference, 'Rise of the freelancer'. You can find out more at http://atcevent.com/conferences/contingent-2015/
