Incident Debriefs are crucial at the Firefighters Podcast as we believe that knowledge learned from operational activity should be shared with not just all fire and rescue services but the wider sector where appropriate.
This helps us to improve performance at incidents, cope with future changes in the operational environment, develop and innovate to provide the best service to the public and improve the safety of firefighters & other front line responders.

Todays debrief is from RFA Bedenham - Gibraltor Fire Brigade 27th April 1951 where 13 firefighters died carrying out their duties.
The debrief aims to be objective, open minded and fair. The main focus is on the operational learning from the incident and the events surrounding it.
Firefighters were tragically taken away from their loved ones and colleagues that day & It is the hope of the firefighters podcast that this debrief assists in making firefighters and the communities they serve safer.
