FOLLOW UP - FCA DIESEL EMISSION SETTLEMENT TALKS

In May 2017 FCA was accused of using software to affect the emissions of 104,000 vehicles, in the US. Talks were underway, at the end of last year, to bring legal proceedings to a close. To read more click the Reuters article here.

FOLLOW UP - GM AND DRIVERLESS CAR LIABILITY IN CALIFORNIA

Mitch Turck reached out to the show to point out that we had only discussed the issue of GM asking for liability to be removed from the rules of testing driverless cars on Californian roads. KENICHI YAMAMOTO HAS DIED

Kenichi Yamamoto, the designer of the rotary engine, has passed away, aged 95. To read about his life and achievements click the Road and Track article here. 

REMOTE PARKING A STEP CLOSER

FORMULA E IN MARRAKESH

Formula E returns to TV screens this weekend, with the race series moving to Marrakesh. There has been some disappointing news for Dragon Racing, as they've agreed to part ways with Neel Jani, as the hoped tie-in with Porsche has not taken place. To read more click the Autosport article here.

In a step opposite to most racing series, Formula E has announced their costings, which are aimed at making it sustainable and accessible to independent teams, not just those with manufacturer backing. To read more about this click the Autosport article here.

Radio and Internet News has reported that General Motors is proposing to install podcasts from eight selected partners on to some of their cars. Neither the full list of partners nor the cars to receive this gift are known. However, the chaps like that more people will get exposed to podcasts, but don't like 'partnering' element.
