We all spend years trying to fit into other people's moulds. This is a story about how I stopped doing that, and learned to enjoy myself more than ever.
- UPDATES
- My podcast is now FINALLY in Apple Podcasts
- My website has a link to it
- I’ve launched The Daily Email
- THE EPISODE
- What are we really? What are we uniquely good at? Most of us never think about that.
- Zone of Genius, as it’s called in my fave new book, The Big Leap.
- Most of us work up to a level of excellence in our careers, and we stay there.
- Our motivations for staying there are usually 2 things: comfort and money
- When we’re excellent at something it’s easy, and it makes us a lot of money
- But it doesn’t truly satisfy us. Not deep down
- Because it’s not truly what we are
- Ever since I read a book a couple of months ago called The Miracle Morning, I’ve been thinking a lot about my zone of genius, and what I’m uniquely good at
- My podcast has changed over time to reveal it too
- I’m a designer and a web designer by trade. That’s what I spend about 60% of my time doing. The rest is emails, meetings etc.
- I love it… but.
- What really gets me fired up is helping people, teaching people, and talking to people.
