	Description:		In this episode we decided to take a beat and discuss situations and answer questions our listeners, and blended life social media followers, have written in about the past couple of weeks. We start out dealing with #differentparentingstyles and how to not let it affect your marriage (because this is one of those things that can really come between a couple). Something that most people in a blended family don't consider is that different parenting styles can also cause a wedge between stepparent and stepchild making one or both feel like the don't "connect" with the other. How can they though when the child is being raised up differently than their stepparent agrees with; naturally there's a pull-back. It's just something to be mindful of. Don't lose sight of the bigger picture; the end goal is to keep you marriage in tact because the kids will eventually leave you. Next we discuss what it is to feel unappreciated and frustrated as a step parent who does all the heavy lifting during the week, while the bio parent in the other home gets to play weekend warrior with the kids. This is a tough spot to be in for sure, but we have some good advice to help you through the mud if you too are in a situation like this one. And what about ex-in-laws who try to keep reeling you in even though you are about to marry someone else (who isn't their child)!?! Yep, this happened on someone and we talk about how to take a stand and create boundaries that protect you and your children from some pretty confusing and potentially upsetting dynamics. We look at this situation from a few angles and came up with some pretty sound advice for this person. Then there's the parent who is fed up with the other parent (divorced parents) because they want all the bragging rights, but are doing none of the work. I think this is something most of us have felt at one point of time in our #divorcedlife... Oh boy do we get into that. Lastly we address Holidays and some different options to consider when you are planning out what they will look like in your #blendedfamily.
