In this episode we’re looking at electricity networks, and the increasing stresses and strains that they’re going to be under as more renewable generation is connected, and heat and transport is increasingly electrified. To explore this, and some of the solutions, I’m joined by three guests – Bartosz Rusek, Manager of Technological Innovations at Amprion, a transmission network operator in Germany; Susanne Nies, General Manager for Germany at Smart Wires, a US based company providing technology and products to network companies; and Delta-EE colleague and expert, Jon Ferris.
