Superduperstitious goes to Hollywood in Part I of another Special Report!
After a very important and then suddenly completely pointless PSA, Wyatt leads in with a discussion of mutation in movies. So often the crutch of screenwriters who want a monster and want it NOW, mutation tends to follow a few very specific beats in movies, all of them fun and giggle-worthy.
Jake then heads in a more behavioral direction, examining the often biologically illogical ways monsters tend to act in order to serve their narrative purpose. And he manages to do this through somehow mostly dinosaur examples.
Have your popcorn handy, keep away from that glowing purple stuff, and get ready for the beginning of a goofy, science-y, and cinematic deep-dive with Superduperstitious!
