In this episode, hosts Katherine Cody, Psy.D. and Becca Lory, CAS, BCCS welcome guests Christina Nicolaidis, MD, MPH (a physician-scientist and Professor at Portland State University) and Dora Raymaker, PhD (an Assistant Research Professor at the Portland State University’s Regional Research Institute who is on the autism spectrum). They are the co-directors of the Academic Autistic Spectrum Partnership in Research and Education (AASPIRE, http://aaspire.org/), a community-campus partnership conducting research to improve the lives of adults on the autism spectrum. The four discuss the mission and origins of AASPIRE, the importance of bridging the gap between academics and the general community, and neurodiverse working relationships.
