Description: On this week's podcast we will hear from Zakaria a recent graduate from the University of Colorado Denver business school. He attended the PRIMA 2019 annual conference as a student scholar and we hope you enjoy hearing his feedback and experience. Zakaria graduated with a double major in finance, risk management and insurance. Attending school in Colorado Zakaria was able to join the monthly Colorado chapter PRIMA meetings there and attended a conference, being introduced to the organization through the university helped him get plugged in. He intends to help business move forward even with impending risks as it is something to avoid but acknowledge and strategize accordingly. This year at the annual PRIMA national conference he really enjoyed the ERM (Enterprise Risk Management) sessions - as it looks at all sides of the risk managment and insurance and produces mitigation plans along with those things that arent insurable and the way an organization can move forward. Highlight for Zakaria was being able to network and meet professionals who currently work in the risk management world and gain insight for those that are currently doing the work and handling risks, insurance, finance and the variety of challenges they face and solutions that have been implemented to handle those situations.
