First steps in addressing the challenge of a workplace accident is having a plan - knowing what your state and district policies/procedures are is very important so the right individuals take the right steps immediately. Defined injury reporting and triage process Paperwork procedure compliance/immediacy of reporting Injured worker receives impartial and compassionate medical attention Cause of injury: hazard or common place Initiative and time to retrain the injured employee with follow up on their outside care/steps to avoid future accidents If you haven’t done so already - take time to see if there are services or third parties in your district/city that can streamline and organize each step that needs to be taken care of for you, professionally and immediately once an accident has taken place.
