Ask me a question for the podcast? A B1-level podcast today with a story and a test on the B1 words and expressions: A frightening experience at the airport When Anna reached the arrivals lounge, she noticed her baggage was missing. She had just got off the plane. Where was it? Everybody had picked up theirs except Anna. She wanted to blame the airline, but she tried to behave calmly – besides, she didn’t really know whose fault it was. Suddenly, a loud noise made everyone stop and look. A child had fallen off the carousel and his arm was bleeding. Anna quickly took out a bandage she had in her small first-aid kit. The mother smiled at Anna. “That’s very kind of you. Thank you.” she said. ‘I’m very fond of children,’ Anna replied, and she felt her heart beat faster from the warm feeling she felt inside. Just then, a man shouted and pointed at a red case on the carousel. ‘There’s a bomb in that suitcase. I can hear it. It’s going to blow up!’ People started screaming, but Anna got up and waved her hands in the air. ‘It’s OK. It’s my suitcase. That’s my alarm clock inside. Don’t worry everybody!’ she shouted. The people became calm again. ‘Well, my suitcase has finally arrived,’ said Anna happily. (There will a B2-level podcast tomorrow.)
