Much has been said about this week's article on the NYT about apple and podcasting. I talk with Victor Marks, host of AppleInsider Podcast, who knows a thing or two about the topic.
Victor Marks is a good friend of mine and the producer of AppleInsider Podcast.
We are going to be discussing the much commented article published this week in the New York Times about apple and podcasting.
First, Victor gives us an historical overview of podcasting and the role Kevin Marks (no family connection) played in bringing it to life.
What is the implication of asking apple to give publishers more data?
I try to make the point that downloads can be way higher than actual listens, and that by getting that data about actual listens, podcaster may shoot themselves in the foot.
