This week we talk about home winemaking. Many a great winemaker started by going down to their local vineyard, clipping off some grapes, and developed their craft right in their basement or garage. We begin this journey ourselves this week as we took a trip to Mitchell Vineyards in Oregon, Wisconsin and started making our own wine; a red varietal called Foch and a white called La Crescent.
Join us as we discuss the beginning steps of winemaking including harvest, destemming, crushing, and fermentation.
