Have you ever looked in the mirror and not liked who was looking back at you? Have you seen yourself and been desperate to make a change? Well what happens when you make the change you wanted but cannot recognise the person looking back at you? This week Tim opens up about his long and ongoing battle with negative body image. He recounts his first ever memory of associating negative thoughts with his body and how he struggled with being an overweight person. This is then followed up with a discussion about how these negative and often exhausting thoughts never went away. How things like people making comments about his weight can have a negative impact on him and how hard it can be accept that you are no longer overweight. We discuss how things like wearing tight clothes can make you self conscious, having people touch you in certain parts of your body can make you uncomfortable and how people who make passing comments about your body can have huge repercussions. We try and give some tips on how we have both tried to deal with these body image issues but mostly we wanted to try and have another open conversation about something that many people are not that open about. We answer another question from a listener about when you should turn to a coach and also discuss some more interesting articles from the internet!
