Welcome Welcome to the first show - we introduce ourselves, Kev explains how we've got here and shares the purpose and goal of the show. We introduce the Apple iPad, chat about what's so special about it and why we all have one! 2. News Samsung Galaxy Tablet to be announced on 2nd September at the IFA Trade Show in Berlin. 7" Android FroYo tablet - link to teaser video. First Android Tablet from a mainstream manufacturer HP to release an Enterprise-centric 'Slate' running Windows 7 HP taken over Palm and saying they will release a WebOS tablet in 2011 Rumours hot-up about a 7" Apple iPad - Kev investigates and we chip in opinions App Store introduces Genius results on iPad 3. Tim's Focus Tim presents his findings on useful and preferred Cases and Covers for the iPad - the team chat about what they use: Apple's own iPad Case, Amazon UK's iPad Sock, No-name leather case that Tim Chose, Steve's iPad Flip Case from Mobile Fun, Kev's Qubits case and Nick's Incipio Feather 4. Steve's Focus Steve takes a look at the iPad's ability to 'instant on' and muses on how refreshing that is after Windows (and other) devices. He also chats about his three main areas of use for his iPad. We consider Word Processing on the iPad and how the filing system works and the difficulty of getting files in and out of the iOS system. Kev's Focus Kev chats about the cross-platform App DropBox and talks us through a live demonstration of some of the features, including it's built-in viewer/browser and link with iBooks. Kev also shares his view of an iPad Dock available from Mobile Fun. 6. Nick's Focus Nick rants about Apple's App Store not allowing a try-before-you-buy scheme like Android's Market Place. We chat about how Apps are developed for Apple and Kev comes up with a (slightly more long-winded) way of getting the same result - and its effect on developers. He also chats about Apple's Camera Kit for the iPad which does allow some way of getting media in and out of the iPad - and plugging in a keyboard. 7. Q&A £500 to spend on an iPad - which one should I buy? Wifi only? 3G? 16GB, 32GB, 64GB? We chat about which ones we chose and why - and offer buying advice; problems with pop-up messages in iTunes/Mac/iPad and settings - link to Onyx for Mac diagnostics app 8. Who Needs a Computer? Kev looks at Photo Editing Apps available for the iPad this month and focuses in on PhotoGene and iResize. We chat about real world use (without resorting to a 'computer') of such apps and consider others, including PhotoShop Express 9.
