Sequin fabric looks great but from a photography point of view it's difficult to light. Hot spots and sparkly patterns will appear almost randomly which makes the light on your model very hard to control.
Fortunately photographer Gavin Hoey has a solution. His advice is not to hide from the problem but embrace the sparkles and use them to create you own instant background effect.
In this video Gavin will show you what size of light enhances the sparkly effect and tries out three different lighting styles to create very different looks.
