The Internet and TV are full of ads and Infomercials telling people they can “legally remove any derogatory information from their credit reports such as late payments, bankruptcies, tax liens, child support payments, civil judgments, foreclosures and repossessions”. In addition, several credit repair companies/clinics inform people that “you are entitled to a clean, new credit file and can legally have one in as little as 24 to 48 hours”. All of the aforementioned is illegal, yet many desperate people fall for the sales pitch and scam. I invite you to pull up your favorite chair, and let’s talk about this important topic together.
