Can a woman grow to become an empowered adult after living a childhood of chaos and abuse? April 19th begins a special 3 week series on adult survivors of childhood abuse. Each week we will meet another amazing woman who did more than survive the abuse of their childhood. Each of these women have journeyed out of the bondage to their dark memories of abuse into a life filled with courage, passion and freedom. Each one believes that their calling is to share the hope of their journey with you!
Michele Warnecke is a 42 year old mother of three boys who are 22, 21 and 14. Michele's life is similar, with one distinct difference, to any other mother of teen boys.
The difference is that Michele's oldest son is adopted and is her brother; whom she adopted when he was just 6 weeks old and Michele was only 20! Michele's mother was only 13 years old when Michele was born--her father was only 15. Since these two were unable to provide anything beyond a childhood filled with chaos, criminal activity, and abuse to their children; Michele provided what was missing through her love. How did she do it? Where did Michele learn how to love and nurture? Join us to find out!
