Description: The Hispanic Community Health Study / Study of Latinos (HCHS/SOL) is a multi-center epidemiologic study of 16,000 Hispanic/Latino participants in four U.S. cities. Einstein investigators Robert Kaplan, Ph.D., and Sylvia Smoller, Ph.D, are leading the New York field center. The study will explore the role that adopting cultural practices of the U.S. has on the prevalence and development of disease, and will identify risk factors playing a protective or harmful role in Hispanics/Latinos.
