A big ridge of high pressure is setting up that will lock in increasingly sunny and warm days in the week ahead all around Western Washington. KNKX weather expert Cliff Mass, who teaches atmospheric sciences at the University of Washington, says if you’re into watching storms or other exciting weather features, you’re not going to find them in the Evergreen state this week. No Rain, Sun Every Day “We have a boring forecast,” Mass says. “High pressure has built on us and it’ll build even more during the next few days.” That means a forecast that most people will look forward to. “We have at least a week of no rain, sun every day. And it’s going to be extraordinary,” Mass said. Some Morning Fog One issue with the ridge of high pressure, Mass says, is that it tends to come with fog in the morning.
