Floods have wreaked havoc across parts of New South Wales yet again. For many people across the Hawkesbury River and Hunter regions it’s the third time they’ve experienced major flooding in the past two years and it has turned the spotlight on the response of the state and federal governments. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese was criticised by Nationals and Liberal MPs for being absent from the local crisis, as he continued his trip overseas, at the NATO summit, in France and to Ukraine. |
