That's right!! It's Transgender Thursday with Tye and Mike. Tonight, in honor of Mother’s Day, we will interview our mothers! Mike’s mother, Michele, currently lives in her hometown, Hampton, VA; is a school counselor; mother of four; and, is a celebrated Wine Down Girl! Michele is the youngest of ten children, grew up with her father, a founding reverend of two churches in the Church of Christ Holiness U.S.A, and grew up in a racially-divided small town of 5,966 in the 1960’s. Michele and Michael have what they describe as a “great relationship,” and Michael says got much stronger after Michael’s transition. Tye's mother, Gloria, currently lives in her hometown of Houston, Texas. She is a retired school teacher, mother of two, and grandmother of four. She is a breast cancer survivor of 19 years and is the oldest of 5 girls. The relationship between Tye and Gloria is progressively getting stronger, especially after his transition.
