One day Vatanen, a journalist in Helsinki, bumped into a rabbit on a road in Finland. He decided to follow the animal through the woods... And so begins 'the Hare of Vatanen', a best-selling book by Arto Paasilinna (1975). Catherine et Marion take the fiction for granted and use the book as a travelling guide. They follow Vatanen's steps throughout Finland up to the polar circle.
