Description: Just over a year into its e-commerce portal initiative, the General Services Administration is making some course corrections. GSA’s initial thinking about the program aimed at making it easier for agencies to buy commercial products and services below the micro-purchase threshold of $10,000 online. Turns out that was a bit off the mark. Laura Stanton is the the assistant commissioner for the Office of Information Technology Category in GSA's Federal Acquisition Service. Keil Todd is the program manager for the Commercial Platforms Initiative at GSA. They tell executive editor Jason Miller about why GSA decided not to test the other two platform options and why the overall market for online buying is much smaller than they first estimated.
