Ben starts the show with his former co-host JD Bunkis and they kick around the Jays pitching and what they need to add as we approach the deadline. Also official today, the Jays officially sign Sergio Romo. Then a look at which members of the bullpen have what it takes to convert into a starter. Then (30:00) we speak to former MLB Exec David Samson. He looks at the Jays potential moves leading into the deadline. Samson then recounts what it was like working in MLB during the Ohtani signing and why he feels the Angels already had a deal in place ahead of time. Having him has been great but for Angels owners you can argue there is life without him. Later, we look at the Aaron Judge arbitration contract and why the Yankees likely gambled and lost. He's amazed how Judge turned down money and at age 31 you just can't give out a long term deal like 8+ years. Finally his thoughts on expansion, working on the competition committee and why expansion has to wait until Tampa and Oakland get their stadium situations settled.
