 A Covington, Kentucky, pastor was sentenced Monday to two years in prison for sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl who attended his congregation, the Ministerio Jesus Liberta Church.
Despite having already been in jail for 862 days — longer than the sentence required — Jose Luis Lopez-Hernandez, 52, is not a free man. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has placed a detainer on him, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported.
Kenton County Circuit Judge Kate Molloy sentenced Lopez-Hernandez on March 9 after he pleaded guilty to first-degree sexual abuse, admitting to forcing sexual contact on the girl.
