Captain Marvel is the first female fronted movie in the MCU. It’s kind of a surprise too, Black Widow has been front and centre in the MCU since Iron Man 2. AND Captain Marvel is a character who’s had some serious ups and downs in terms of their actual origin. In fact Carol Danvers is actually the FOURTH person to carry the mantle…one of them was even a Skrull! So why Danvers? And why now?
