This fortress was built in the 1070’s by William the Conqueror, and he likely couldn’t have imagined what would happen at this building or what it would come to represent. Today; the Tower holds the world’s most famous jewel collection, The Crown Jewels, which have been guarded by the Yeoman Wardens since the Tudor times. It is also a place of rich and complex history that is said to still affect this location today.
