About 61 years ago, something happened in the Ural Mountains that has resulted in a conspiracy theory that just wont go away. A band of skiers trekked through this mountains stashing food, and extra skis in a valley to pick up on their way back from their trip. Later that same night, these nine experienced skiers and hikers burst out of their tents half dressed fleeing into the night and into a blizzard. They were later found dead - some with their bones broken, and one was even missing her tongue.
For decades, few people beyond the victims family and friends were even aware that this happened. It was only after a retired official’s account of what he saw came out to the public in 1990 that the world’s curiosity was peaked.
