Description: This week we will be discussing one of the most difficult cognitive distortions many people face. We are talking about “all or nothing thinking”.  Licensed Therapist Ashley Thorne defines this as “you only have two options and there is no gray area in between.” It is the thinking that you can’t be beautiful and have flaws, you can’t be successful and have failures. This thinking is that happiness can only be found if you are currently on the positive side. Today we close out the series while discussing bravery and fear.  Every decision we make revolves around some type of bravery and fear. Many assume within the presence of fear, there is no bravery. Bravery can only exist when fear exists. Fear does not negate bravery.  Nelson Mandela states, “Courage is not the absence of fear but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid but he who conquers that fear.”   Good Risings is a mindset.
