In a strange bit of booking, New Brand Wrestling promoters Omar Nicholas and Curtis Wakeman decided their all ages show was lacking a hardcore barbwire tables match to entertain the kids. It's not known if the use of a staple gun was discussed at their weekly Bible study. Maybe it was their way of paying homage to Jesus on the cross. They must have wanted to modernize the story since to the best of my knowledge, staple guns were not around in Biblical times. Rex Roberts yells 'f**k off' to hecker after his match. Wrestling critic Dr Laurie was there and no doubt loved the show since there were no traces of alcohal drinking in the parking lot, since the Ellice Theatre doesn't have one. We also preview the upcoming River City Wrestling show coming up on Saturday. |
