Phil Landauer is one of senior tennis’s really good guys. Not only is he an outstanding player, 25+ national titles in singles & doubles, but as a tennis teaching & coaching professional, Phil loves to talk to anyone (who will listen !) about all things tennis.
In this episode of the WebTennis Mobile Workshop, I asked Phil about the realities of a 50 yeard old guy or gal, currently rated 4.0, working on their game in a way that they could become a benchmark 4.5 and eventually compete for a national USA age group title.
Phil and I agreed that it starts with a very specific mindset and commitment to a process, not results.
Phil and his wife Myke are the Tennis Directors at two clubs in Naples, Florida. Tarpon Cove and Spanish Wells. If you’re ever in the southwest Florida and interested in the good stuff for your tennis game, you’ll be in great hands with the Landauers. You can find Phil and Myke over at http://www.tarponcoveclub.com/-meet-the-staff .
