Description:
SHOW NOTES KEY IDEAS: Here is a name you don't hear on agricultural podcasts everyday - Adam Carolla. You may remember Adam from his many television shows, including The Man Show, and other projects on Spike T.V. as well as MTV. You might remember his syndicated radio show "Loveline" that he co-hosted with Doctor Drew Pinske. Or you might be aware of his record setting podcast, The Adam Carolla Show. But when it comes to agriculture, you have probably never crossed paths with this gentleman. I have been listening to Adam regularly since 2007 when I was camped in Death Valley, California with Autumm and Hattie and found him on the radio. I returned to Idaho and found I was able to listen to his radio show on the internet. A couple of years later the show was canceled, and he started the podcast. I have been listening to that ever since. For those who do not listen to Adam regularly you might have the wrong impression. As for me, as the years have gone on I found myself really enjoying hearing him talk about work ethic, working for free and entrepreneurship as much as the comedy itself. He is truly an inspiration for entrepreneurs and has a lot of insightful thoughts on this topic. And, I have always wished I could get him as a guest on the show. Well, that has now happened. This is a longer story, that I explain on the podcast, but I was able to be interviewed by him and also to interview him during our spring vacation trip to California. I now have the opportunity to share him with you! ADVICE FROM ADAM: WORK FOR FREE: I say this on the show all the time, and I got the idea from him. Working for free gives you the chance to put your talents and work ethic on display for people. And it leads to paid jobs in the future. MODEL: Adam is big on modeling entrepreneurship for his children. I like this idea too. Let's let them know this is an option.
