Description: SHOW NOTES KEY IDEAS:  I am always impressed by people who invent products and go through the time, effort and headaches to develop, produce and distribute them.  This is not to mention finding partners and dealing with patent issues. What I enjoy most about speaking with inventors is their stories of how they came up with the idea for their invention.  One of today's guests, Shane Mulligan, has one such story.  He has worked on engines for many years as a professional, and he has been frustrated by the lack of a good leverage tool.  It was his frustration that led him to create his very own leverage tool called Maxx Leverage. Over the past several years Shane has been working with partners, finding distributors and dealing with patent issues.  He has now brought on our other guest, Blair Fretz, to help him with social media marketing.  Maxx Leverage is a great product, and Shane is poised to solve leverage problems for a lot of people from agriculture to NASCAR working on engines.  ADVICE FROM SHANE: PARTNER: If you are going to have to work with a partner, take your time to find the right partner.  When business becomes stressful it can put a real strain on relationships. OPPORTUNITIES: Take the opportunities that come to you.  You never know when one is going to show up.  Make sure to take advantage. NETWORK: Meeting people and developing relationships is essential to succeeding in business.  Make sure to develop broad and solid networks.
