Here it is, a series of podcasts thirty years in the making. With Ready Player One making a huge splash on the box office, I wanted to honor it by turning the clock back for this retro, in which we look at four films that are highly regarded by a whole generation of film goers. But how will we see them years later?
When originally released in the winter of 1983, The Dark Crystal was looked at as a marvel in world building, but not necessarily storytelling. That's where me, Matthew Goudreau, and Logan James come in. As we delve into the Jim Henson/Frank Oz directed film and give a perspective on what works about it, and what doesn't. Note: this one is a little more contentious than our first Flight of the Navigator show. But on what end will each of us stand?
Download below, and be sure to come back as the next two weeks will be taken up by similar looks at Labyrinth and The Neverending Story, respectfully.
The Dark Crystal (?/10, ?/10, ?/10)
