Description: Before Star Wars, there was Bond. James Bond. It is a film franchise that has inspired everyone in in the industry from Steven Spielberg to Christopher Nolan to Rian Johnson. Eight actors have (unofficially) played the character over its almost sixty years in existence. And there is another one coming out this April. So what better time for the Binge Movie Aftertaste to gear up and cover a franchise that has been requested for years. Myself, Adam, and Matt are going to fire through a gun barrel the entire 26 film franchise, cultivating in a review of Cary Fukunaga's No Time To Die, which is being heralded as Daniel Craig's final bow as the character. With the success of From Russia With Love establishing James Bond as a certifiable franchise, Eon Productions wasted no time in continuing their Ian Fleming adaptations with 1964's Goldfinger and 1965's Thunderball. Some Bond fans call these the crux of the series, and that Sean Connery's suave portrayal of the character in these movies set a standard for not only Bond, but all adventure films to follow. But will we think that way? Join myself, Matt, and Adam as we continue our look at the James Bond franchise, and wonder whether all the praise that fans have latched on to these films is warranted. Goldfinger (1964) (?/10, ?/10, ?/10) Thunderball (1965) (?/10, ?/10, ?/10) CLICK ABOVE TO LISTEN NOW! Subscribe to Binge Cast on iTunes
