The Bible recognizes one source of dreams: all dreams proceed from God. In the 33rd chapter of the Book of Job we are told that God speaks to man in two ways, but man does not perceive it. Then it states the two ways: “In a dream and a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls upon men, while they slumber on their beds; then he opens the ears of men and seals their instruction” (33:14). Now, you tell that to a psychiatrist, he will think you are insane. He will tell you that all dreams are from the individual dreamer, because he separates the dreamer from God. He does not understand what you are talking about. God’s eternal name is I AM, so who is dreaming? Well, I am…well, that’s God…that’s his name forever and forever. So I’m not separating the dreamer from God. All dreams proceed from God. Some are simple and you need no interpreter; others are revealed in a symbolic language which is not understood and then you need the interpreter. |
