For the experience of the anticipation of failure, of not meeting expectations, of being perceived as perhaps less-than in some way strikes to the heart of that self which feels incomplete and lacking in the world. Not having consciously realized the infinite worth of your being by virtue of your existence within the creation as a child of the Creator and as the Creator, your worth is constantly meted out by your illusory perceptions of meeting standards, whether your own or others.
