Matthew Layton presents Studio 1 - Vision Australia Radio’s weekly look at life from a low vision and blind point of view.
On this week’s show…
As Mental Health Month draws to a close, we return to a question we ask quite often here on Studio 1 - because we think it’s quite an important one.
“Does living with blindness or low vision make one more susceptible to mental health issues?”
This week’s guests are a married couple who are pretty darn well positioned to give us their opinion.
Shane Kendall - amongst other things - works at Vision Australia Radio. He was responsible for much of the behind-the-scenes technical work on our recent White Cane Day Music Concert.
He’s also a musician, and a small business owner - proud to be the proprietor of a cutting edge accessible recording studio.
Linda Murphy - Shane’s better half - is not only married to him, she is also a mental health care professional (although she joins us today in a personal capacity).
