Latrobe Magnesium (ASX: LMG) CEO David Paterson joins Small Caps to discuss the company’s strategy of producing magnesium metal using its proprietary process.
The company is building a demonstration plant in Victoria, which will generate 1,000tpa of magnesium metal from coal fly ash, which is a waste product from a nearby power plant.
Latrobe’s process can also generate magnesium from ferro-nickel slag and the company is looking at building a 100,000tpa plant in either the Middle East of South East Asia.
