Emmerson Resources (ASX: ERM) managing director and chief executive officer Rob Bills joins Small Caps to discuss the latest drilling results from a phase two campaign at the company’s Tennant Creek project in the Northern Territory. The gold and copper explorer has visually confirmed “very high-grade” copper mineralisation at the Hermitage prospect while diamond drilling near a discovery hole. The company intersected a new, shallow zone of malachite, chalcopyrite and possible bornite mineralisation some 40m outside of the central ironstone. Assay results are expected in late June. The company has an exploration earn-in and joint venture with private company Tennant Consolidated Mining Group (TCMG). This partner is funding mining and the new centralised mill in Tennant Creek with Emmerson expected to receive a low risk 6% gold royalty from each mine. Outside of the NT, Emmerson is also planning to commence a six-hole, 4,000m phase two drilling program at its Kiola gold-copper project in New South Wales by mid-year.
