	Description:		In cooperation with the Ballarat International Photo Biennale, the photo exhibition "Ich werde Deutsch" by Maziar Moradi will be opened today, on the 1st of March 2018 at the Goethe Institute in Sydney. The Iranian-born photographer, who grew up in Germany, studied at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (HAW) and has received several awards for his photographic work. In his series "I'm becoming German," Moradi documents important experiences of immigrants, who have made them aware of their existence in two cultures at the same time. "The personal is always the political." - In Zusammenarbeit mit der Ballarat International Foto Biennale wird heute, am 1. Maerz 2018 im Goethe Institut in Sydney die Fotoausstellung “Ich werde Deutsch” von Maziar Moradi eröffnet. Der iranisch-stämmige und in Deutschland aufgewachsene Fotograf studierte an der Hochschule für Angewandte Wissenschaft Hamburg (HAW) und wurde schon mehrfach für seine fotografischen Arbeiten ausgezeichnet. In seiner Serie „Ich werde Deutsch“ dokumentiert Moradi einschneidende Erlebnisse von Immigranten und Einwanderern, die sie auf ihre Existenz in zwei Kulturen gleichzeitig aufmerksam gemacht haben. „Das persönliche ist immer auch politisch.“
