Last week, a series of meetings on the sidelines of the G20 in Bali may have changed that. China's leader, Xi Jinping met directly with the Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, the first meeting between the country's leaders since 2016. While there's no shortage of differences between the countries, the tone has changed, opening possibilities for a broader thaw.
