Description:

With Dana Daniel: One of Australia’s last major COVID protections could be wound back when national cabinet meets tomorrow.

NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet has been pushing for a reduction in mandatory isolation periods for positive cases from seven days to five days.

He’s suggested the eventual goal could be abolishing mandatory isolation altogether.

Victorian premier Daniel Andrews and others have said they will follow the health advice presented at national cabinet tomorrow.

Today on Please Explain, federal health reporter Dana Daniel joins Bianca Hall to discuss the possible changes.
