Millions of American women have had their reproductive rights stripped by the US Supreme Court, in a widely anticipated judgement.
The ruling overturning Roe v. Wade also overturns almost 50 years of legal convention in the US, leaving the country with a patchwork of different state laws and court rulings.
The World Health Organisation has estimated 25 million unsafe abortions are performed every year worldwide. It says the proportion of unsafe abortions are significantly higher in countries with restrictive abortion laws.
There are fears that will now happen in America.
