Having been just days since Australia swore in its newest Prime Minister, this week the country will celebrate the reign of its other leader, sovereign Queen Elizabeth the second, who is celebrating 70 years on the throne.
Known as the Platinum Jubilee, the celebration will see widespread pomp and partying across the UK, with the country observing a four-day public holiday and numerous lavish events.
However, with the 94-year-old Queen in poor health, it's likely to be one of the monarch’s last public appearances, one which no doubt will be marked by royal family drama.
