November is pancreatic cancer awareness months. As part of pour month long series on today’s episode Dr Marjorie O’Neill in this episode is interviewing Dr Baggoley who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2019.

Between 2011 and 2016, Dr Baggoley was the country's Chief Medical Officer, advising the government on major health matters including the Ebola and Zika pandemics, giving him a unique background and understanding of pancreatic cancer before his diagnosis.

Dr Baggoley is one of the lucky 10% of people who are able to have surgery to remove his tumour, followed by chemotherapy and he is now doing well.
